🎬 New Media Isn’t Coming—It’s Already Here
Hey Reader,
This week, an IG Reel caught my eye—not because the guy said anything new (he rarely does), but because he called out the Atlanta film industry. And if you’re wondering what Hollywood’s Southern cousin has to do with your business... turns out, a lot.
As legacy studios try to reinvent themselves, Atlanta is already making quiet moves toward the future—leaning into flexible, creator-driven production models. It's the same shift that happened with newspapers (RIP print editions). And now? Film and TV are heading for the same iceberg... unless they pivot.
Where are they turning? You guessed it—new media. And like it or not, that means YOU.
Here’s the deal: You’re already part of this shift. You create content. You market through storytelling. You’re nimble, adaptable, and closer to your audience than any exec in a glass office. But... the bar has officially been raised.
What used to be “good enough” on a webcam is now competing with celebrity-level production. The studios are entering your space... and they’re bringing high-end gear, crisp sound, and polished visuals with them.
But here’s the good news: You have a massive advantage. You can move faster. You don’t need a boardroom of approvals to post a video or test a new idea. What you do need is support because you cannot (and should not) be doing this alone anymore.
I used to think highly resourced DIY content was normal... until I left the movie business and realized most entrepreneurs don’t know affordable, good help exists. The glossy brands you admire? They’ve got teams. Support. Systems.
So now, I’m building the thing I always wished existed, specifically here in the Pacific Northwest:
A studio built for creators like us. Real entrepreneurs who need to produce high-quality content without the overhead of a film set or professional audio booth.
If you’re feeling pressure to “do more content,” you’re not imagining it. But you can meet the moment without burning out. The key is knowing you don’t have to bootstrap it all yourself anymore.
The media landscape is changing fast. You just need to decide how you’re going to show up in it.

🎙️ The $125M Mic Drop
Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy landed a $125 million SiriusXM deal—one of the biggest in podcasting. Whether or not her style is your thing, there’s a lot indie creators can learn from her success (especially if you're tired of the same old Rogan worship). I’m rooting for Alex—and you should be watching, too.
🤖 Please and Thank You, Terminator
Sam Altman once said saying “please” to AI wastes energy. Turns out… he might be wrong. Politeness isn’t about training robots—it’s about keeping your humanity intact while using them. So keep the manners. Emily Post would approve.
🎬 Pedro Pascal Lives! (For Now)
If you’ve also been personally victimized by Pedro Pascal’s onscreen deaths, The Studio on Apple TV+ might heal you. It’s a hilarious, sharp satire of how film studios actually run—and the episode “The Oner” (filmed as a one-take) is a masterpiece. Yes, Seth Rogen is annoying. That’s the bit.

It’s time to dig deeper when you’re quoting your favorite thought leaders. If Mel Robbins has been on your inspo list, you might want to pause—recent plagiarism claims are a reminder that conscious consumerism includes the content you consume, too.
