๐ Behold! It's the business I actually have.
Hey Reader,
I rebuilt SensibleWoo.com. It's been a minute since this had a refresh and this time, I didn't rebuild it because I needed a prettier website, better SEO, a new funnel, or whatever other reason the internet has convinced us we should periodically tear apart perfectly functional websites.
I rebuilt it because I finally know what its job is.
Apparently it took opening a production studio, producing a whole lot of other people's media, making three seasons of my own podcast, changing my business model approximately eleventy billion times, and accumulating enough evidence about what I'm good at before I could make the internet accurately explain what the hell I do.
Now you get to see it, too!
For a long time, Sensible Woo had to hold everything: my business, offers, podcasts, ideas, woo, and every version of Mary I'd accumulated over the years, all shoved into the same digital trench coat pretending this was a coherent organizational structure.
It wasn't.
The new SensibleWoo.com is the home of my body of work. It's where you'll find my thought leadership, speaking, podcast appearances, my own shows, press and PR from over the years, and (pretty soon) a searchable archive of my best writing from The Production Oracle. (Apparently I have written A LOT OF WORDS. ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ )
And for everyone who keeps asking me, โBut where did the woo go?โ ...nowhere. When I'm doing something involving Tarot, astrology, Human Design, or whatever other metaphysical rabbit hole I'm wandering through, it'll live there too. The end-of-year reading is already waiting for you.
Also, Baby Mary from my Disney days is hiding somewhere on the site. This is now a scavenger hunt. Godspeed. ๐
But if you're looking for the work I do for clients, the front door has moved to SasquatchMediaGrounds.com.
Which seems like a good time to answer an extremely reasonable question...
๐ When should you call me?
Call me when you know your media should be doing a bigger job for your business... but you can't figure out what's keeping it from doing that job.
Maybe you've consumed so much free advice you've completely lost the plot. You've saved the posts, downloaded the PDFs, watched the webinars, followed twelve experts telling you twelve different things, and convinced yourself that one more piece of information will reveal The Answerโข.
You don't need more information. You need direction from someone who can see where things are going and help you decide what deserves your resources.
Maybe you're already making media (podcast, newsletter, YouTube, whatever) but have no fucking clue how it's supposed to make money. That's a product problem, and I fucking LOVE a product problem. Or you've got the product, but only twelve people know you exist. That's an audience problem.
Or maybe publishing anything feels like dragging yourself across the finish line because you haven't developed a clear enough voice, identity, and point of view to make original material consistently. You have to know what you believe, what you've noticed, what pisses you off, and which hills you're willing to die on because they're your hills... not because everybody on Instagram climbed the same one last Tuesday.
I help with that, too.
๐ซฃ Sometimes you know what you want to say... you're just scared shitless to say it.
This is something I've only recently found language for: I don't just help people find their point of view. I help them find the audacity to keep saying it.
Being visible means being judged. Somebody might misunderstand you. Somebody might disagree. Somebody might say something shitty in a comment section while sitting on their toilet.
Fuck it.
Sometimes the work is saying the thing for the first time. Sometimes it's saying it again after somebody disagrees.
And sometimes the problem is the wonderfully awkward inverse...
๐ You want to be famous.
Maybe you admit it. Maybe reading that sentence made you physically recoil.
Fine. You want the TEDx stage, the book deal, the giant audience, the invitations, the 100k followers, or for your show to become A Thing. We can call it influence, thought leadership, visibility, authority, platform-building, or seventeen other respectable professional euphemisms... but it's pretty simple: you want people to know who you are. And guess what, Boo? That's allowed.
But wanting visibility and being prepared for visibility are different things. I'm not a Hollywood talent manager, but I did work in entertainment, and I see people wanting professional-level attention while producing amateur-level media all the time.
If you want the big stage, eventually the thing has to be ready for the big stage.
๐ฐ You love money!
Excellent. Me too. We should totally hang out.
- You love money but don't have anything to sell? We need a product.
- You have the product but nobody knows you exist? We need an audience.
- You have the product AND the audience, but you're spending your week hosting, editing, chasing guests, fixing captions, uploading files, cutting clips, managing production, and figuring out why someone's microphone sounds like it was recorded inside a Pringles can? โก๏ธ You need your time back.
Somewhere along the way, you became the talent, editor, production manager, guest wrangler, distribution team, and emergency IT department. Congratulations on your six new jobs. ๐
Or... hire us to run the production workflow. You go be the talent. You go sell. You go run the company. We'll hunt down the guest who still hasn't sent their bio.
And if you're simply out of ideas? Oh, honey. ๐ค I can generate ideas for DAYS. Ideas are cheap. Knowing which ones deserve your resources (and executing them) is the valuable part.
๐งพ And then there's Q4...
If your business had a profitable year and you've got 2026 budget left, talk to your tax professional now about what legitimate investments make sense before December 31. I'm not suggesting you panic-buy seventeen microphones because somebody on TikTok yelled WRITE-OFF at you.
But if improving your media operation is already something your business needs? Stop waiting for some imaginary future moment when everything feels safer.
Give me 90 days.
Let's diagnose what's not working, tighten the show, fix the workflow, improve the product, and get you out of jobs you shouldn't be doing yourself so you can enter 2027 with a media operation capable of handling more audience, opportunity, and revenue.
Because the goal isn't to make you dependent on your producer.
I don't do codependency.
The goal is to build production infrastructure that can hold your expansion.
And here's the little bit of Sensible Woo I'll leave you with...
๐ชฅ The toothpaste has left the tube.
I don't think we're going backward to the internet before generative AI, the media landscape before algorithms ate everything, the economy we understood five years ago, or whatever version of business felt more predictable and safe.
The toothpaste is out of the tube.
We can waste an extraordinary amount of energy trying to shove it back in there... or we can stop wasting the fucking toothpaste.
Use it.
Learn what's changing. Decide what matters. Make smart bets. Build the infrastructure your next chapter requires. Develop your voice. Make the media. Sell the thing.
Move bravely toward the world that's arriving instead of waiting for the old one to come rescue you.
That's what I've been doing, too.
These new websites aren't evidence that I found the perfect positioning statement. They're evidence that I worked long enough to understand what I'd built... And now the internet gets to catch up.
I'll be right there beside you.
P.S. If you're wondering whether I can prove any of this shit works...
๐ซ Keep scrolling. I brought receipts. โคต๏ธ
๐งพ Speaking of receipts...
I have been BUSY over at Sasquatch Media Grounds.
There are now four new case studies on the site showing what this work looks like when it leaves the strategy deck and meets real people, real businesses, real audiences, real money... and occasionally real chaos.
๐ Veronica Yanhs โ Desires Laid Bareโ
What happens when you take a dormant audience, rebuild the media strategy around a clear point of view, and suddenly the internet starts paying attention? Veronica's reboot produced Reels reaching 256K, 76K, and 23K views, grew Instagram from roughly 1k to 12k followers in less than three weeks, built a new email list, and created the foundation for a long-form YouTube relaunch and monetization.
๐๏ธ Mel Dorman โ Seller Finance Academyโ
What happens when expertise needs somewhere to go besides more content? We turned Mel's knowledge into a pilot course with 50+ students and more than $25K in revenue, built the launch assets and email system around it, and produced the audiobook for Bank on Your Neighbor.
๐ง Michael Jonas โ All American Whyโ
Not every case study has a fairy tale ending... because case studies should tell the truth, not just make everybody look shiny. We built the concept, production infrastructure, trailer, and three-episode premiere for an ambitious new show... and it also became a very useful demonstration of what happens when the size of the vision outruns the resources and systems available to sustain it.
๐ฆ Megan Eckman โ PDX Spellboundโ
And then there's what happens when a creative project needs to become a business. We took Megan's cozy-rom-com universe beyond โfinish the book and hope people buy itโ into paid readership, product development, audience-building, and a real-world vending strategy designed to build revenue and the future launch audience for her novel.
Four very different businesses. Four very different problems.
That's the point.
I'm not interested in giving every client the same content machine with their logo slapped on top. The work is figuring out what media needs to do for this particular business โ then building the strategy, products, audience, production systems, and infrastructure around that job.
The receipts are now live. Go snoop through the case studies โโ
๐๏ธ Gossip from the creator trenches...
๐๏ธ Hey, Boomer... NPR wants you
Are you over 65? I know a great many of you are (hi, friends!), including quite a few who followed me here from my course-building days. Well, this one's for YOU: NPR is looking for podcasters over 65 to compete for a chance to have their show aired on NPR. Proof that your media career does not come with an expiration date.

๐ผ Proud Book Slut to the End
Writers, this one's for you. There's a fight brewing around purity culture in romance as some indie authors remove spicy scenes to make their books more โclean.โ You do you with your own work... but policing sexual expression and pressuring other artists to sanitize theirs is a different conversation. I'm firmly on the side of letting grown-ass adults read grown-ass books.

๐ Your Weird Little Niche Is Fine
The next time you worry there aren't โenough peopleโ for your niche, please observe the booming cottage industry surrounding romantasy. Romance and fantasy aren't new; what's fascinating is everything being built around the books as fans spend money on their obsession. Your market doesn't need to include everybody. It needs enough enthusiastic weirdos.

Something For Sale
I released a 90-minute Astrology and Tarot forecast covering July through December 2026 for $47. The second half of this year has a lot going on energetically and I had an absolute blast recording this. Several of you grabbed it immediately which tells me we are onto something here. This is my first experiment in bringing readings back in a sustainable way and it will not be available forever.
