🦶 The Sasquatch Algorithm
Hey Reader,
A couple weeks ago, Wiz of AI dropped a carousel about Netflix’s secret weapon... and it wasn’t the latest binge hit. It’s data. Netflix isn’t really a streaming company anymore. It’s a data company that happens to make entertainment. Every click, pause, skip, and binge fuels one of the most powerful AI systems in the world. They don’t just stream shows; they predict culture.
Now before your inner rebel starts growling about algorithms and capitalism, take a breath. 😮💨 Because your truth bomb has arrived: your audience is being trained by Netflix, too. Their expectations for how fast something loads, how relevant it feels, and how personal it sounds? All of that carries into how they experience your marketing. Whether you like it or not, you’re already part of the machine — so you might as well build one that actually works for you.
That’s where The Sasquatch Algorithm™ comes in. (Yes, I made it up for this newsletter! 😛) It’s not software. It’s how I run my studio... and how I want you to start running your brand.
1. Curate, don’t chase.
Netflix doesn’t beg you to watch; it teaches you what to want next. Same goes for your content. Stop chasing the algorithm and train your audience instead. Your people should know what to expect from you: your tone, your humor, your values, your vibe. That rhythm is what builds trust.
2. Data = receipts, not destiny.
I track everything (open rates, clicks, replies) but I read it like Tarot. The numbers tell me where the energy is moving, not who I am. Your analytics aren’t judgment; they’re breadcrumbs. Follow the ones that feel alive.
3. Iterate out loud.
Netflix doesn’t disappear for a year and then emerge with a perfect plan. They test, tweak, and evolve in public. Same deal here. When you show people the process — when you let them see the experiment — they invest in your growth story.
4. Weird sells.
Netflix has The Witcher and Love Is Blind existing in the same universe, and somehow it works. Your business can, too. Stop sanding off your edges. (We talked about this last week!!) Your quirks are your click-through rate.
5. Rebellion = retention.
The reason my Summer and Winter Rebellions work is because they break the monotony. You give people something to rally around: a season, a challenge, a mission. That’s how you train consistent attention. People don’t just want your content; they want your cadence.
Another reality check: Some of you reading this are exhausted, burned out, thinking about deleting your socials and becoming a cryptid in the woods 🌲(respectfully, I relate). But that's not realistic because the Netflix model doesn’t work because of the tech — it works because of consistency. It shows up, analyzes, adjusts, and repeats. You can do that too. You just have to stop pretending it’s not work.
Creativity isn’t the opposite of data. Creativity needs data. Data is what proves your art is landing. It’s what funds your freedom. Every week, when I hit send on this newsletter, I’m training you how to expect, engage, and respond. That’s the Sasquatch Algorithm in real time. I’m not chasing you. I’m teaching you how to walk beside me.
So when I say don’t be boring, this is what I mean. Don’t disappear into perfectionism. Don’t hoard your drafts. Don’t hide behind “strategy” while refusing to measure what works. Show up, track, adjust, and add a little weird.
If Netflix can predict your next obsession, you can predict what your audience will love... by actually watching them.
And if you need help figuring out how to turn your own data into momentum, until I open the studio’s membership doors for this kind of deep dive, start with the CEO Winter Rebellion. It’s a zero-pressure, maximum-play season to reconnect with your creative spark, listen to brilliant podcasts, watch bold YouTube creators, and earn some shiny prizes (everyone loves prizes 🏆) while you remember why you love this work in the first place.
The algorithm learns from what you feed it. So feed it something with soul. That's something no AI can ever reproduce.

🤳 Your Meta Exit Strategy Starts… Yesterday
Everyone’s whispering about leaving Meta, but SubwayTakes said the quiet part out loud: if you’re waiting for the “right time” to make your move, you’re already jogging behind the parade. Private communities are multiplying like gremlins after midnight. I got invited into two more just last week — and honestly? They slap.

📺 Cable? In This Economy?
If you still pay for cable, blink twice so we know you’re okay. Most Americans have already cut the cord — which means YouTube isn’t just “nice to have” anymore. It’s the new broadcast network. If you’re not building your presence there, you’re voluntarily walking uphill both ways in the snow… carrying your marketing plan.

📚 I Read Banned Books
While the Trump administration tries to kneecap the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the ALA is fighting back — lawsuits, reports, receipts. And surprise, surprise: the most challenged books of 2024 center LGBTQIA+ voices and communities of color. This isn’t “protect the children.” It’s narrative control.
So if you’re reading banned books, sharing them, or passing them to the next generation… keep going. That’s civic duty and good taste.

🫖 Studio Updates
It’s almost time to rebel again. Because a rebel mindset gets you more eyeballs on your podcasts & YouTube videos. And in my world... you win prizes for your rebel attitude!
While I’m setting up the scaffolding for the studio’s new membership launching in January, my goal is simple: help you (1) have fun and (2) get out of your over-thinking, over-analyzing head — not necessarily in that order.
The CEO Winter Rebellion kicks off December 1st and runs through New Year’s Eve, with prizes announced on New Year’s Day to ring in 2026 with a bang.
If you missed the Summer Rebellion, here’s the quick hit: all summer long, we read books for fun, found our voices again, and remembered our “why.” This time, we’re diving into podcasts and YouTube — the same places your next big idea (and audience growth) are hiding. You’ll earn raffle tickets just for listening and watching, even if you DNF ("did not finish"). Because not everything is meant to be finished… and the sooner you learn how to become a better listener, the sooner you become a better creator.
Why do I host thought leadership rebellions? Because your content sounds constipated. (Yes, even mine has lately. #solidarity) The cure isn’t another formula — it’s rediscovering your curiosity. Fun is strategy.
So grab your cocoa, hit play, and join the rebellion.
🎧 Sign up here — we start December 1.

Scorpio season doesn’t want your perfection — it wants your experiments.
Mercury’s fully retrograde, but that doesn’t mean you should hide under a rock. It means soft-launch, beta test, ask questions, and get curious. This is prime time to gather data, try things, and see what sticks.
Your intuition already knows where to walk — the cards (hello, High Priestess and Eight of Cups) are just saying it louder. But here’s the twist: while you’re working through your own growth, your audience is too. They’re recalibrating, reassessing, and trying to find what feels real.
This week’s private episode dives into how to meet them where they are with empathy, clarity, and offerings that genuinely fit their stage of growth.
