Hey Reader,
I was at a pitch event this week when someone asked about my studio project. Cool, right? Until they hit me with: “Oh, we have a studio, too.”
Cue, fellow Common Wealth bestie, Megan Dowd in my head: “My dude.”
A room is not a studio.
What I’m building is not a mic-in-a-closet situation. Moxie Studios is a full-scale, luxury production space for creators who are done settling for subpar. Think: high-end gear, live tech support, camera-ready sets, and a calm, inclusive vibe. It’s the kind of place where your content doesn’t just exist — it shines.
Later in the week, at an incubator event tied to my business plan (cross your fingers), someone asked why I’m doing this. Here’s what I said:
“If you don’t know you’re allowed to ask for something, you won’t ask for it.”
Most people only ask for what they’ve been told they can have. That’s why content creation in the Pacific Northwest still feels like bootstraps and duct tape. I want to change that. I’m bringing media-world standards from L.A. and London to a city that deserves more.
