This week’s newsletter is a swirl of big feelings. If you’re here, chances are you also felt the gut-punch of betrayal from Congress. And before any new subscriber clutches their pearls 🙄 about politics showing up in a business newsletter, let me be clear: your business is political. Your marketing? Also political. Choosing to sit it out is a privilege most of us don’t have. And if you’ve been trying to play neutral and wondering why your messaging feels wobbly... Oh boo, do I have some news for you. 🙈

But then. Then I signed the lease right before the holiday weekend hit. I got the keys. And standing in that empty studio space, I felt the wave of joy and creativity rise up again.

This studio, like everything I build, is rooted in a simple truth: marginalized voices deserve access to the same high-quality tools, space, and support as anyone else. I’ve had the rare and heartfelt realization this year of being surrounded by allies, especially my cishet white dudes who are doing some quiet work of equity in their own circles. These quiet, small, and steady acts of support have reminded me why this moment is exactly the right time to make Sasquatch Media Grounds real. I, too, need to bring my advances, as a queer mixed Asian woman, into a hand-reached-back-moment for all my peeps.

So here she is: Sasquatch Media Grounds, day one. 🏡 You might see an office suite, but I see an act of rebellion & resistance. ✊🏼

These sessions are inspired by the incredible voiceover workshops I attended last summer in LA. They were simple, powerful, and jam-packed with personal feedback. That’s what we’re doing here, too. 📹 Discovery = Video or Bust

Netflix didn’t just change how we watch content... they reshaped how we find it. Consumers may not finish a full podcast episode on YouTube, but that’s where they’re discovering them. Video is no longer a bonus; it’s the front door. Podcasts are the new TV. And YouTube? The only real search engine for audio content with honestly shitty built-in discoverability.

You don’t need to be a voice actor (or even want a podcast) to realize your voice is communicating way more than words.
