Hey Reader,

You know how sometimes you read an article and immediately say to yourself, “AS IF I needed another piece of proof that the creator economy is flush with cash…” Yeah, that was me reading this Forbes piece about how mega-sized YouTube creators are taking on institutional investment. Like, private equity, M&A, and nine-figure capital rounds.

  • Dude Perfect took $100M+ to build full-on destination venues and a diversified media empire.
  • Good Good Golf raised $45M to scale media, merch, and live events... backed by Peyton Manning’s firm, btw.
  • Mythical Entertainment (yes, Rhett & Link) is acquiring other creator companies and launching a startup accelerator with its own $5M fund.

That’s not influencer-brand-deal money. That’s “build the next Disney” money.
Here's what I know about you: most creators (especially solopreneurs) see those headlines and go, “Cool for them, but I’m just trying to fill my group program or land one more client this quarter.”

I get it. Mega numbers can feel like yacht-people problems. 🛥️ But here’s what you really need to take away: The more capital flowing into the creator economy… The easier it becomes for you to benefit from it.

Why? Because those big creators are building the infrastructure you can ride. They’re drawing in traffic, normalizing content-driven businesses, and proving (at scale) that trust, personality, and consistent brand storytelling print money.

They’re teaching the public how to behave... and they're footing the bill for that customer education. You think “consistent content” is just a coaching cliché? Well, it’s not. It’s conditioning... and the conditioning is less about you and more about your leads and potential customers. This is how solopreneuers get their brain panties in a twist. You've been thinking about it backwards this whole time.

"Consistency" is not a recipe for burnout... so long as your consistent actions are focused on your audience rather than on *your* output.

The masses are being trained to expect content as a signal of legitimacy. Which means when you don’t post? When your podcast goes quiet, your feed goes stale, or your YouTube channel ghosts for two months? You lose your seat at the table. Not because you’re not good at what you do… But because there’s no proof of life. Yes, you can earn your seat back, we do it all the time. It just costs you every time you do it. Why pay extra??

💰 The money is in the banana stand.

Most of my clients aren’t trying to be YouTube-famous. They just want their business to run smoothly and make over six figures. In this economy, that’s a winning ticket. And yet I continue to hear:

  • “Marketing is hard.”
  • “Social media is unfair.”
  • “I don’t know what to say.”

…what I really hear is: “I haven’t built a system that works yet.”

And that’s where I come in because you don’t have to become a mega creator. But you can ride the wave of what they’re doing, use their SEO, and hijack the audience attention they’ve already paid for.

Exhibit A: You think it was an accident that Season 1 of The School of Moxie podcast was about The Last of Us? Nope. That was a strategic love letter to Pedro Pascal and a content engine wrapped in viral SEO. I could have chosen ANY show to run that podcast experiment... but I picked something timely with a history of strong stickiness in the zeitgeist. It paid off. That season placed The School of Moxie podcast in the top 25% of podcasts (based on industry metrics) with a micro audience and zero paid traffic.

When is the last time you had someone think strategically like this for YOU?

So the next time you catch yourself DIY-ing your media kit or cobbling together content from scratch, just think... You wouldn’t cut your own hair before a big event, right? Hiring a producer like me for your business’s media presence doesn’t have to be a full makeover. It can be as simple as a sharp bang trim that frames your brand just right.
